Wall Art

I made a few murals on my own then started my first company that made murals called MuralTech my catch was I would take a picture of the wall where it was going to be placed and then do a mock-up in photshop so you could see what it was going to look like. Fun idea and I loved doing it I just couldn't convince customers of the cost.

Acrylic on wall. I was looking for something to throw up on my apartment wall and saw this book cover. Loved the colors and thought it would reflect my piano nicely. I used painters tape to get the clean lines.

2nd Platoon, 31st Engineer Batt. Push Up mural acrylic on painted concert blocks.

Silhouette Art

I was trying some new artistic styles that were inspired by William Blake’s poem The Tyger. Its an intense little poem, but after reading the line,

In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes?

I visualized a silhouette with bright shining eyes. I took that concept, switched the subject from animal to women, then styled it with bold solid color choices like Patrick Nagel used. I have always been a fan of his. I find it so interesting how he can get you to see beauty with just a few lines and solid colors.

Digital Paintings

Using Painter, Photoshop and an XP-Pen I can do everything an oil painter can do with out the mess! I love drawing and I really like to work digitally, I make quite the mess with analogue media. Mostly portraits  but I am getting into doing more artistic works in the future.

3D art

I love playing around in a 3D environment. I was playing with lighting and reflections in Lightwave and found out if you tweak your material settings enough you can make it look like pearlescent paint on a hotrod. These are abstract representations of the seasons all surrounding a black orb...not sure why but I like the look.

Other Media

A sampling of some hand drawings and paintings I have done.
